Yes, I'm still alive and drawing, but I haven't had the energy to post anything yet. I promise I'll try to post something in the future, but I can't guaranty it'll be in the upcoming week. I'm actually working on a Spoony and Linkara AMV to "Boys Boys Boys" by Lady Gaga and currently, I'm gathering footage for it.
As for the Beetlejuice comic, PLEASE stop asking me to continue it!!!
I know everyone keeps asking me to continue, but let me make it absolutely clear why I've stopped. When I first started it, I was heavily into Beetlejuice again and wanted to try to make a comic version of one of my favorite stories. I was naive in thinking I could do the whole story. Then it took me five months to finish the first chapter. FIVE MONTHS! I realized that it was going to be really tough to try to do all of it then, but I tried to continue onward with it. Problem was I was still in College at that time and my creative juices were being used for essays, photography assignments, video editing projects, and plenty of creative writing works, so my creative spark was dimming. Then I ended up stopping during my final semesters of College so I could focus on passing, plus I wasn't feeling satisfied with how the last couple of pages looked. I was also losing interest in Beetlejuice, something that usually happens to me. I was interested in other things ranging from Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Samurai Pizza Cats to Harry Potter, Mario, Sonic, and SWAT Kats. Yes, I was flip-flopping between these interests among others, so my creative ADD was causing me to lose interest.
I've been trying to get that spark back again, but every time I think I can get the nerve to work on it, I remember how much of a pain it was to get at least one page done - from getting the posing of the characters right to using the proper shading to making sure the text doesn't cover up the art. Also, trying to convey the scenes in drawing form was really tough for me at times. If I continued, I would definitely have problems with things like the fight scenes, which is one of my weak points when it comes to drawing. Emotional and cute scenes, I have no problem, but when it comes to fighting scenes, I suck.
At this moment, my drawing interests are currently TGWTG/Spoony/Linkara related, Darkwing Duck, and The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, so at the moment, no Beetlejuice love. I'm very sorry for everyone who wants me to continue on with this comic, but at this moment, I have no interest in continuing the Beetlejuice comic. If you want to try to continue it for me, feel free to do so. I'm sure there are more talented artists out there that can work on this project, so please do so.
Once again, I'm very sorry, but sometimes projects that you think will be easy may turn out to be even more troublesome than you thought. (eyes her music video)
